6 Steps to Build an MVP 🛠️: Product Roadmap and Customer Discovery
🛠️ Build an MVP with Railsware Academy! We prepared a brief guide on customer discovery questions, product roadmap, MVP success criteria, and other essential elements to get an answer to: “How to build a minimum viable product?”
In our previous videos, we have explained what does MVP mean, what types of MVP you can use to validate your product, and where does MVP lay in the whole product pipeline. If you don’t know the answers to these questions, subscribe to the Product Discovery tools playlist by Railsware Academy: http://bit.ly/2Qgy4b6.
In this video, we will present the key MUSTDOs to build an MVP software:
❇️ Ask customer discovery questions get an insight to the problems your target users face every day
❇️ Identify and prioritize MVP features
❇️ Select the right approach for your MVP development: a noproduct, productmockup, or a singlefeature MVP (types of MVP are described in this video: http://bit.ly/2Qgd97I )
❇️ Build a story map / product roadmap
❇️ Select MVP success criteria to track the progress
❇️ Launch your MVP software
In our next video, we will review key success metrics to track progress on your minimum viable product.

Software Architecture Will Save Your Apps MVP, MVC, MVVM, BLoC
Spaghetti code. This is a nightmare of many software developers. There’s nothing worse than code that is scattered everywhere without a structure. If you want to make a modification, you need to take a gazillion things into account. This way, you only ensure a slow and painful death of the whole project.
This painful style of coding also goes hand in hand with another villain of the software world untestability. Testing code which is mixing your own logic with platformspecific code is a recipe for giving up on it completely, thus further dooming your app for premature death!

Making sense of MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
Adapted from Crisp’s blog by Henrik Kniberg. Explaining his MVP drawing. This drawing shows up all over the place, in articles and presentations, even in a book (Jeff Patton’s “User Story Mapping” – an excellent read by the way). Many tell me the drawing really captures the essence of iterative & incremental development, lean startup, MVP (minimum viable product), and what not. However, some misinterpret it, which is quite natural when you take a picture out of it’s original context. Some criticize it for oversimplifying things, which is true. The picture is a metaphor.

How to create MVPs in 1 Day without Coding Tech Checker
DOWNLOAD This MVP Powerpoint Example of mine for free:
Learn how to make an MVP in less than eight hours.
How to test your software concept before you start a single line of code.
Learn how to use the Google Design Sprint technique.
“It is super important to know, if your product will actually fulfill a customers need. Making an MVP or prototype doesn’t have to take months. With Design Sprints it can be done in less than a week.” (Max Aigner, CTO BraveYourself)
Why Google Design Sprint
A Design Sprint is a process that takes 5 days, where you can improve a solution to a customers problem or come up with radically new ideas, that you can test and verify or discart.
Long before you would start to develop a complex product, software producers want to find out, whether the customer would really want to buy the product. Would he understand the user experience and what technological requirements does one have.
Raphael Herkommer, CEO of Bonfire, wants to revolutionize the remote working culture. Therefore he booked a Design Sprint workshop from BraveYourself which was carried out by the CTO Max Aigner.
Find out more here:
Hour 1: Discuss the problem
Create a Map starting at the end, to show what problems your software will solve. The center of the map is your customer with his daily life.
Hour 2: Collect Ideas and Sketches
with the crazy eight method paint eight sharpy images in 20 minutes
Hour 3: Decisions
the team suggests and the product owner decides what prototype to build
Hour 4: Build the Prototype
do it with powerpoint or figma
Hour 5: Test Prototype
go to customers and let them use the prototype.
TechChecker’s mission is it to enable you to solve your personal challenges in life by using technology and knowledge in a proper way.
